The talented Unusual Suspects minors at Dorothy Kirby Center (Juvenile Detention Camp) have written an original play that they will perform on Saturday, September 8th!
In an exciting partnership with LA County Probation at Dorothy Kirby Center, The Unusual Suspects are leading a 10-week performance workshop in which incarcerated youth are working together to perform an original play that they wrote earlier this spring.
Three young women — the sisters Autumn and Jan Grace, and Blessin Yasmine Lorraine Alvarado — lose their parents at very young ages. They grow up in separate foster homes, all searching for justice and a place to call home. After Jan disappears under mysterious circumstances, Autumn and Blessin meet during a chance encounter. They become fast friends and discover that they have a common enemy in their midst. This starts them on a journey of intrigue, in hopes that they might finally gain the closure they’ve sought for so many years.
