Markham Middle School students will perform their originally-written play from Fall 2018, “Time is Ticking: The Adventures of So’lana.”
Synopsis: A young witch named So’lana King has the dream of becoming a singer. So’lana has her heart set on going to The University of the Arts, and she has been working hard to prepare for her college audition. So’lana is on the brink of her 18th birthday when, unbeknownst to herself, she will inherit a full set of magical powers passed down to her from her mother, Vanessa. Vanessa has knowingly withheld these magical secrets from her loved ones resulting in her own abduction, the failure of So’lana’s college audition, and time itself being thrown out of whack to correct her mistake. So’lana, with the help of her best friend Alexx and her father, follow her newly budding magical powers to help save the day. With love, belief, and forgiveness, these heartwarming characters find a way to correct all wrongs. The King family walks together into a future that is full of possibilities – where dreams do come true.
Admission is free and open to the public. No RSVP is necessary.
