Neighborhood Voices Intergenerational Performance

April 6 @ 7:00 pm

| Free

As part of The Unusual Suspects’ Neighborhood Voices Program, a group of Northeast San Fernando Valley community members, ages 10 and up, are writing an original play that speaks to issues they see in their community. The group will perform their play on Friday, April 6, 2018.

This year’s play is The Tale of the Mysterious Switch

Poppy, a unicorn, and Jessie-G, a pop star, are unhappy with their lives until a mysterious Shapeshifter offers them the chance to switch places. Once they switch lives, they discover that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. With the help of a dragon and two ninjas, they uncover the true intentions of the Shapeshifter and devise a plan to stop him before he takes over the human world and the magical land of the Purple Waters of Wateria.

Immediately following the performance, The Unusual Suspects will facilitate an interactive, bilingual discussion regarding the play’s themes.
