Markham Middle School students will perform their originally-written play from Fall 2019, “Generations: The Chaotic Martinez Family.”
Synopsis: Miami. Magical characters. Vlogging. Chanclas. Jealousy. Natural births. Marriage. Separations. #NotIncluded
All of the elements that make up The Martinez family with a lot of problems. Alex Martinez is a teen on a quest to find her dad. However, her mom cautions her against it for fear of Alex being harmed by dark forces. After receiving a vision that Dad has been kidnapped, it is now up to Alex – and her powerful Grandmother Maria – to rescue him and hopefully bring reconciliation to the family.
Can you be a pharmacist and social media sensation at the same time? What does a chancla have to do with all of this? Is it rude to forget someone’s name? This dark comedy will hopefully answer these questions.
Admission is free and open to the public.
