SEE IT LIVE! THEATRE FIELD TRIPS

IMAGINE YOUR STUDENTS EXPERIENCING THE AWE OF LIVE THEATRE.

Los Angeles has one of the most diverse theatre scenes in the country, and our See It Live! theatre field trip program puts your students right in the middle of it.

Through See It Live!, students will be exposed to live theatrical productions at historical venues like The Pantages, The Ahmanson, and the Mark Taper Forum, and our professional teaching artists will guide and educate the students through their experience.

WE PARTNER WITH SCHOOLS TO PROVIDE:

  • A list of age-appropriate live theatre shows to choose from
  • Ticket coordination with the theatre
  • Optional student recruitment at your school
  • Dedicated teaching artists who will lead a pre-show intro and post-show debrief at the venue. Whether it’s a student’s first time at the theatre or their tenth, we’ll walk students through theatre etiquette, what to look for on the stage, as well as offer context on the play and production.
  • We’ll take care of the students from greeting them when they arrive, to ticket distribution, through the end of the show, and assuring they are safely back on the buses.

Students will leave having experienced the magic of LA’s professional theatre scene.

BOOK YOUR FIELD TRIPS FOR 2026-2027.

UTILIZE YOUR CAP OR ELOP FUNDS BEFORE THEY EXPIRE THROUGH AN IMMERSIVE, LIVE THEATRE FIELD TRIP THAT STUDENTS WILL REMEMBER FOREVER.

Cost is the price of student tickets plus a $1,500 administration fee. Most schools cover this using Cultural Arts Passport (CAP) or Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) funds. Book more than one show in a school year and you’ll receive a 15% discount.

We know school staff are stretched thin, so we’ve kept our ask simple.

Submit our sign-up form, where you’ll pick a show from our list and let us know your ticket count, whether that’s 50, 100, 150, or 200 students. You’ll also coordinate your students’ round-trip transportation and collect signed field trip forms from parents and guardians. We’ll walk you through exactly what’s needed and when, so there’s no guesswork on your end.

Then we’ll take it from there, handling everything from ticket coordination and student recruitment, to greeting your students to making sure they’re safely back on the bus at the end of the show.

See It Live! is currently open to high schools in Los Angeles. Spots are limited and filled on a first come, first served basis, so we recommend reserving early.

See It Live! gives students the chance to experience professional theatre firsthand, instead of just reading about it in a textbook or hearing about it in a lecture. Our teaching artists lead a pre-show introduction and post-show debrief, walking students through theatre etiquette, what to look for on stage, and context on the playwright and production. It’s a hands-on way to deepen your students’ arts education in the city of Los Angeles.
